Overview of Tasks & Responsibilities

Griffin Partners Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a financial analyst. This role will be responsible for analyzing real estate investment opportunities, including acquisition of existing office, industrial, and mixed-use assets, development of speculative and build-to-suits industrial projects, as well as assisting in asset management and investment reporting requirements. This person will work closely with executive level personnel. With high performance, this position provides the opportunity for quick vertical advancement.

Key Items of Responsibilities

1. Conduct initial underwriting of potential investments, including review of investment offering materials, detailed analysis of Argus models and investment proformas.

2. Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis on the market, submarket, and competitive projects of potential investments.

3. Maintain financial proformas and Argus files to assess ways to enhance performance of existing assets, report actual investment performance, and help identify strategic disposition strategies.

4. Assist in the Due Diligence process of potential investments including financial, operational, and physical condition review.

5. Assist in the preparation of Investment Packages to be reviewed by the Investment Committee for approval.

6. Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure that transactions are accounted for properly.

7. Propose and implement initiatives aimed to improve efficiency and quality of existing modeling, proforma, or investor communication processes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting

1-2 years real estate or finance related industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, REFM (Real Estate Financial Modeling), Argus Enterprise experience is a plus.
